Luspholmarna is beautifully positioned on the island outside of Storuman, within cycling and walking distance of the village. The road out to Kåtaholmen and the local Homestead area is a nice drive in an archipelago-like environment with islets and sandy beaches where you can swim and enjoy beautiful views. The homestead and museum has an exhibition of old local artefacts and sometimes a café in the summer. There are many fine walking trails in the surroundings, with buildings maintained by the local heritage society. The waters around the heritage building also offers good swimming.
There is also a baker’s cottage at the heritage building, where skilled flatbread bakers bake genuine northern Swedish flatbread in a wood-fired oven for sale during the summer.
The homestead can be rented for your own activities and the bakery can be rented for baking your own bread – contact Storuman Municipality on tel. 0951-140 00.
The area around Kåtaholmen is considered a public place in Storuman Municipality. Camping in tents and caravans is therefore not permitted.
