Next to the blue road (E12/E45 motorway) is Storuman’s red pride the statue of the Wild Man.
The red colour symbolises the indomitable strength of the people of Lapland. The golden club that the Wild Man holds behind his back symbolises wealth, and the wreaths of leaves symbolise the wild nature of Lapland.
This Wild Man statue is also the cover of the book “TRISTA SEVÄRDHETER” (Boring attractions in english), by Johan Tell (2011).
