The ecopark has a few small trails, and forest roads make the area easily accessible. Hiking along Mejvanbäcken or Jovanbäcken is a sparkling and exhilarating experience. Here you can see remnants from the era of rafting and, if you are lucky, beavers in their ponds in Mejvanbäcken.
Traces of ice and capercaillie
In parts of the ecopark you can go a long way without seeing any traces of civilisation. However, there are many traces of the Ice Age. A path through the magical spruce forest leads to the huge boulder “Storsten” (the big stone) left from the ice-age. More recent traces can be found around old grazed pine trees where they roost at night.
Fishing
Jovan Ecopark has plenty of fishing waters. Here you will find more information on how to buy a fishing licence.
Berries and mushrooms
The forests are rich in blueberries, lingonberries and mushrooms, and the marshes are full of cloudberries in August.
